Presidential Motorcade on our street!

Last night we stayed up way past our bedtime, sitting at a bus stop, just to get a glimpse of the President of the United States. We were out and about last night when we noticed a million police cars barricading all the streets, parking lots, and alleyways along Swan (one of the busiest roads in Tucson). We just happen to live along Swan and wondered what was going on. That's when we remembered hearing the news about President Bush coming to Tucson. We've never seen a Presidential motorcade and wanted to be a part of the action, so that's why we hung out at the bus stop for almost two hours.

The most exciting part of the night was seeing all the police preparations, including a helicopter that flew overhead with the spotlight looking at our street below. As it got closer to the time for President Bush to drive by, there was a flurry of police activity. We could hear police on their loudspeakers driving up and down the road making people turn around and get their cars off the street. We were even told to get back on the sidewalk. It was a fun night of watching police activity! Enjoy the video of the police, and if you watch carefully you can see the Presidential limo.

my boys loved the police cars. Tuscon sounds like a fun place to live!
