Payback is....SWEET!!!!!

(Charles here) Ok so maybe the title is a little misleading. It should have been returning a favor is Great!! I like the first one better. While Carries' parents were in town this last November I asked the President of Sun Mechanical if he could get us (George and I) into a great golf course to play a round. He said sure we can do that I kept waiting and waiting for the tickets to show up. I even called Marc right before George and Jean were coming into town, still no response. Until a week ago Marc apologized for not getting me the tickets or passes to a really nice golf course. (We ended up at one of the local courses instead, which was probably a good thing for me I would be still searching for my bad golf hits out in the desert.) Anyway he (Marc) offered me tickets to The PGA Accenture Match Play tournament at The Ritz Carlton Golf Club for February 28th. Without hesitation I gladly accepted these tickets!!! Tiger Woods was there as well as 63 of the best golfers from around the world. It was amazing to hear and see the world of the PGA.(Professional Golf Association.) With Tiger making it his come back from knee surgery the sporting news went crazy here in Tucson, and across the globe. He unfortunately lost in the second round. On his practice round the golf course had a record 27,000+ people in attendance. I wasn't there alas I was working.
Carrie and I made the short 45 min drive to Marana on Saturday morning and endured the hot sun and the beer guzzling fans walk around from one hole to the next. We arrived just in time to see the Semi-final match up between Paul Casey of England and Geoff Ogilvy of Australia play. I am amazed at how good these guys are at hitting the ball. Even though we did see them both hit into the desert a couple of times. They are so consistent with their hits. Oglivy ended up winning the tournament on Sunday. Part of the rules for the spectators is no cameras allowed during the tournament play so unfortunately we don't have any pictures of the golfers or of the beautiful golf course. We do have some of the surrounding views of the Golf Club and Hotel. Here they are:

the tickets

practice field

the golf course and hotel in the distance

the parking lot

PS Carrie even enjoyed herself, too!!
PSS Sun Mechanical built the new hotel.

AWESOME! I considered attending the Honda Classic here in Palm Beach last weekend. I even went as far as checking for ticket prices online. Alas, I did not go...Tiger was not there and we did have activities planned. My inlaws are golf fanatics and Dave enjoys playing. I do not have the patience to put and always shoot off to the right. I need some major lessons! Dave has been watching the golf channel lately, can you believe a golf channel? I am beginning to gain interest!
