For our Friday night date, we bought Quiznos sandwiches and hiked up Sabino Canyon about one mile to a picnic area. The weather was perfect, the food was good and the company was fantastic! Too bad the mosquitoes wanted to share in our fun.
Saturday we spent about 5 hours weeding our backyard rocks. Our yard is literally covered in 2 to 3 inches of rocks. Here's a picture:
The backyard looks much better, now that it is almost weed-free.
Charles bought me a rose bush for Valentine's Day. We dug a big hole in the front yard, filled the hole with compost and Miracle Grow soil, and planted the bush. I hope it grows well in it's new home!
Sunday Charles tried a new gourmet recipe: lasagne rolls, filled with spinach and ricotta cheese. Yum! They sure were tasty. Charles sure knows how to cook a fantastic dinner.
Last Saturday (Feb 14th) I planted a small garden. Three rows of peas, two rows of carrots and one row of onions. I checked my garden every day last week to see if there were any sprouts. After church, I made my daily check and there were some pea sprouts! If you look very close at the picture, you can see three small sprouts. I'm still waiting for growth from the carrots and onions.

Those lasagna rolls do look yummy -- what will they think of next? And your garden. . .how fun! We sure are on opposites ends of the country -- it was nice to see dirt again in your pictures:)
I would have never thought about weeding rocks, but I guess it makes sense! You'll have to keep us updated on your garden. you're so lucky Charles is such a good cook!
