(Carrie) The Extreme Home Makeover team was in Tucson this past week building a new home for a family in need. For a Friday night date, we thought it would be fun to drive past the construction site, which is located about 2 miles up the street from where we live. They work round-the-clock, so you can't miss the site with all of the bright lights shining on the new home. There were police blocking all the streets leading to the neighborhood, so we didn't make it to the home that night. However, a friendly police officer informed us that we could catch a tour bus at the park in our neighborhood and make it the construction site that way. So, we took the tour bus and visited the site Monday after work for Family Home Evening. We didn't see Ty or any of the other stars in the show (that we could recognize, since we don't watch the show that much).

It was fun to see the site and see alot of people volunteering their time to work on the house. The Tucson episode will air on March 22.

That is really cool Carrie! We will have to watch that episode. It is such a good show but we rarely watch it. It was great talking to you today!
Cool. This show makes me cry every time. I always think- "I'm not going to cry this time" but then they throw widowed single mothers with special needs children at me and who doesn't cry at that! Despite the tears it is good tv.
