The weather turned cold in Tucson this weekend after 80 degree weather the past week. We woke up to alot of snow on the mountains this morning. After church, we went for a Sunday drive up to the top of Mt. Lemmon and enjoyed driving in a real winter snow storm. We both agree that one blizzard a year is enough for us. The police blocked off the road and only let 4-wheel drive vehicles up the canyon. We had to show the police officer our 4-wheel drive switch to prove we really could continue on our way. We saw many people on the side of the road, sledding and shoveling snow into their truck beds. We didn't come prepared with a shovel, but we did take our camera and some great shots of the snow. Maybe next year we'll remember a shovel so that we can bring a truckload of snow back to our home.
The road was closed soon after we made it down
Yes, there is a ski resort close to Tucson!
