(Carrie) I know it's not nice to say something is ugly, but we have some cactus flowers growing in our front yard that fit that description. The flower is quite large - about the size of an adult's hand - is green and has brownish spots on it. My visiting teachers told me the flower smells like rotten meat. I haven't gotten close enough to smell the flowers, so I'll take their word for it. But I have noticed that flys (not bees) enjoy the flower. We are planning to remove the plants as soon as we find something green to take their place.
