Charles and I both have birthdays in September. This is how we celebrated this year:
My mom surprised us both with an ice cream birthday cake when we were in Utah in August.
Carrie's birthday: I took a half day off work to go out for lunch, shopping and take a nap. It was a great afternoon. That evening Charles took me to The Gaslight Theatre, a local theater that produces fun family friendly shows. We saw "Phantom of the Opera: or A Pain in the Mask" and ate popcorn, pizza and an ice cream sundae while we watched the show. It was a fun birthday!
Charles' birthday: Charles' mom, Joyce, was able to spend a few days with us, including Charles' birthday! She made BBQ ribs for dinner, which Charles loved. I made Charles a homemade chocolate cake with homemade chocolate frosting. We had a feast. I also got Charles a BYU license plate cover and some helium balloons. Happy birthday!!!
