The Sunquest team before the race. Charles and I are on the right side.
The warm-up exercises before the race. We had to wait in the cold about 30 minutes after this to begin running. Our muscles definitely were not warm by that time! Charles and I are on the left upper part of the picture.
The fire hose pull through the sand. Charles and I are the ones wearing the bright green shirts.

The most difficult part of the race was trying to run through the sand.
The wall climb.
We participated in every obstacle except the mud pit. We did that the first year and decided that one time in the mud pit is enough! (obstacles were — tire runs, a serpentine course around cones, over straw bales followed by an FBI door breach; Ammo can 45 lb. lifts, push ups, more straw bales, fire hose pull, wall climb, rope swing, more tire runs, then climbing through the back door of a police SWAT car. Whew!)
We made out like bandits after the race when we were given 2 cases of our favorite yogurt and some fabulous granola from the folks running the Sunflower Market booth. Our fridge is full of yogurt and we love it!
