(Carrie) Charles and I were actually able to watch the BYU vs. Utah football game this past weekend! This was only the second football game of the season that we were able to watch. The rest of the games we listened to over the internet, which wasn't too bad, but I prefer to see for myself what is going on.
We discussed people in our ward that we could call to invite ourselves over to watch the game with. We considered watching the game on a pay-per-view basis online. Luckily Charles thought to call a sports bar in the area to see if they would broadcast a football game on The Mountain. Fortunately for us, the sports bar was indeed planning to broadcast the game!
A few minutes before kickoff, we went to the sports bar and found the correct TV screen. It wasn't too difficult, as there was already a Utah fan sitting near the TV. We joined him, and joked around a bit about the rivalry and football game, then settled in with our lemonade to watch. We enjoyed the first 3 quarters, but wish there could be a re-do of the 4th quarter. Maybe next year's game will end with a Cougar victory!
