We arrived in San Diego Friday evening, after happily making a stop at a Kneader's Bakery in Yuma. Saturday morning, we got up early and went to the San Diego Temple, which was a wonderful experience. The rest of the day we spent at SeaWorld!
We enjoyed watching two Shamu shows (the pictures from the evening "Shamu Rocks" show didn't turn out, but that was a terrific show!)

We then watched a dolphin show, which was fun with all of the jumps and tricks by the dolphins.

In the evening we took a sky ride across the water.
Sunday we went to church, then back to the San Diego to walk around the grounds and take a few pictures. It was a beautiful afternoon and very peaceful.
We then went to the new Mormon Battalion exhibit and loved seeing that presentation. It was very well done and alot more exciting than when we saw it three years ago!
Monday we spent the morning touring the aircraft carrier USS Midway. That took a few hours and we were able to see most of the ship, which was fascinating. It was nice to have a recording to listen to in each room throughout the ship.

Charles by the bunks that the men would sleep on. The men could bring very few belongings, and all of those had to fit in the drawers below their mattress.
On the way home, we drove through one of Arizona's famous dust storms. This is heading into the dust storm.
And this is in the middle of the dust storm. A few minutes after we took this picture, the rain came pouring down! It was a adventurous way to end our fun weekend!

Cameron and I were in San Diego in March, and we got to see the Midway and the Mormon Battalion site too. Did you know that our old Campus Plaza friend Aaron Loewer helped to design the new Mormon Battalion setup? It was really fun, huh?!
It looks like a great trip. I love San Diego. I'm glad you had so much fun.
