After work, Charles put on some additional insulation and the wrapped the water main with a bunch of towels. Those additional layers did the trick because we had no more problems with frozen pipes the rest of the week. See, it does get cold in Arizona!

Frozen Pipes
The record breaking cold temperatures this week were too much for our insulated pipes to handle. We woke up Wednesday morning to find out that we had no water in the house. Charles immediately knew what the problem was and spent two hours working to thaw the water main to the house. He used my hair dryer and heat packs to break up the ice. Luckily the pipes did not break!

After work, Charles put on some additional insulation and the wrapped the water main with a bunch of towels. Those additional layers did the trick because we had no more problems with frozen pipes the rest of the week. See, it does get cold in Arizona!

Glad that Charles' know-how saved your pipes! Stay warm!
Lucky you for marrying a plumber! We have friends living in Tucson that have burst pipes!
It's so great to have a fix-it man on site. That must have been fun to have it cold for a little bit there :)
