We ate breakfast in our hotel room every morning. This was my first experience eating porridge cooked with boiling water from the coffee pot and shelf stable milk chilled overnight in the window.
We spent our first weekend touring Norwich.
Charles outside the Norwich Castle. We toured the inside of the Castle, but the pictures did not turn out well.
We saw an announcement for an early Saturday afternoon Christmas concert in this cathedral. We enjoyed the beautiful music and a chance to sit down and warm up.
Saturday afternoon we took an hour tour of the Norwich Cathedral. We loved this tour and were fascinated by the history of the Cathedral, the amazing stained glass windows, and the architecture. We could see the spire of the Norwich Cathedral from our hotel room.

Cute row houses on the other side of the Norwich Cathedral
Sunday evening we went to an Advent Carol service at the Roman Catholic Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. We really enjoyed the music and loved the architecture of this Cathedral. The pictures from inside the Cathedral did not turn out well. We also attended a Christmas concert at the Salvation Army Citadel, which was a fun concert to be at.

Tuesday evening we had a fun dinner at the King's Head pub with my former coworkers Chris and Melissa. We are sharing a sticky toffee pudding, which was delicious!
Charles will have to blog about the rest of our week in Norwich, since he was able to go on some adventures by himself. I spent the week at work and really enjoyed meeting my coworkers. At lunch I took walks through the fields and took pictures of the area surrounding the office. I thought the taxi driver was lost on my first day, since we drove on this dirt road through a cow pasture to get to the office.
A tree I really liked!
The same tree in the sunshine.

I really like the last picture of that tree. It sounds like a fun trip! I can't wait for Charles blog. :)
It was great to see some pictures. Charles - it will be good to see more of your adventures! I'm glad you got home before all the snow shut down the airport.
I love all of these pictures but especially the stained-glass window and the last one of the tree! I'm looking forward to Charles' post as well! :)
