We spent the first half of our day taking a 1 1/2 hour boat ride to Misty Fjords National Monument. The Monument is accessed only by float plane or boat. We saw eagles, jumping fish, sea otters, many waterfalls, and amazing scenery. It was a beautiful part of Alaska and we were glad we were able to see it!
On the return trip from Misty Fjords, mom and dad snoozed while Charles learned the 5 types of salmon, using his fingers to remember. I enjoyed taking pictures of everyone!
We spent the afternoon walking thru downtown Ketchikan. We saw some interesting park benches, beautiful totem poles and the Creek Street businesses.
We all were fascinated by the loads of salmon running the river. We watched the salmon for quite awhile before leaving Ketchikan in the afternoon.
It was another great day in Alaska!
