July Happenings

We've had a busy July! Here are some of the things we've been up to the past few weeks.

Charles took down our very old, very brittle, very ugly and incomplete set of vertical blinds. We replaced them with these new curtains. It took us awhile to decide on the design, color and fabric of the curtains. We are very happy with the end result!

Charles' mom, sister and sister's family spent one night at our home on their roadtrip to Utah. Charles took Friday off work and went with everyone to play at the park. It was nice to have some family visit us!

The same week Charles' family came to visit, I spent 3 days at a work conference. I gave software product demonstrations to clients and answered questions. As thanks for my work, I received an Executive Sponsor Award from the Director of Product Development at my company. I also got a bag full of company paraphernalia.

Last but not least, we have spent alot of time working in our yard - raking up mesquite pods, weeding, and working in the garden. A coworker gave me 2 bags of rain lily bulbs that we planted last weekend. After some rain this week, one of the lilies bloomed. I am excited to see the entire area in bloom one of these days!
