Within 5 minutes of looking for a place to fish, we heard a man yelling that he needed 4 hands. We were near the man right at this moment and saw that he was reeling in a huge fish, but couldn't get it out of the water by himself. Charles helped by getting the fish in a net and brought in the largest trout he has ever seen!
The trout is covered in dirt in this picture, so you'll have to look close to see it!
I got Charles a fishing license for Father's Day along with the promise that I would learn more about fishing and actually learn how to fish. I spent the day reading various books (one of which was the Fishing BSA Merit Badge book) while Charles fished.

After a picnic lunch, we went on a 4 mile hike around the lake. Along the trail we met a man whose full-time job is to watch and document activities for a pair of baby bald eagles. He had some telescopes set up so we could get a better look at the bald eagles learning to fly.
The baby on the right trying his wings in a gust of wind. The eagles couldn't fly more than that at this time.

Along the hike my sock lost its elastic and scrunched down in my shoe every 2 minutes. I kept it from falling off with a bunch of band aids.
The happy couple at the lake!
After our lake hike, Charles fished some more. Unfortunately he didn't catch any fish, but had one bite! We both thoroughly enjoyed our day!

That is right by my Grandpa's cabin -- I LOVE that area of Arizona. It's so pretty and I'm so glad you got a fun trip there. There's something that makes me happy about seeing lots of blue skies!
Looks absolutely beautiful! I think that is such a cute Father's Day gift.
This is such a beautiful place and I'm so glad you were able to have so much fun there together.
