Almost like camping in the Uintas

We went on a fun camping trip last weekend to Riggs Flat Lake on Mt. Graham. The area reminded us both of the Uinta National Forest - it was beautiful! It took us 3 hours to drive to the campground and we had to pack in all of our water! The end result was that we had plenty of water to drink, thoroughly enjoyed our campsite and our time together in the mountains. We loved this place so much that we are going back very soon!

Our campsite - We could see the lake from our campsite and only had neighbors on one side of us.

Enjoying a chocolate s'more!

We both went fishing Saturday morning. The wind was so strong there were white caps on the small lake. Our lines would blow back to the shore in no time at all. It was so cold that I only lasted about 30 minutes before I headed back to our camp to get warm. Charles lasted another 45 minutes at the lake before he froze. Neither of us caught a fish, although Charles had one bite.

We decided to wander around the lake, hike and find some geocaches before we headed home. We had a perfect weekend campout!

The first geocache we found was in a spot overlooking Riggs Flat Lake
