(Carrie) In honor of Tucson's birthday yesterday, the zoo had free admission. I decided to see what the local zoo was like and went by myself for an hour after work. It was a very small, but nice zoo to walk around. Because it was so warm outside, alot of the animals were in their "residence" and out of sight. I saw all of the exhibits and then went around to see a some a second time within that hour. Charles surprised me by meeting me in the zoo parking lot after and taking me out to dinner at our favorite Ethiopian restaurant. It was a fun afternoon!
Look at that long giraffe tongue!
A cute animal (I don't remember the name) in the South American exhibit.
I got alot of dust in my eyes as I watched the elephants try to cool off by blowing dust and grass onto their backs. Notice all of the grass on this elephant.

I haven't been to a zoo in a LONG time, it looks like you had a lot of fun. Ethiopian food sounds so good to me right now, yummy!
It looks like a nice zoo - I'm glad you had a fun time.
That is cool you got to go for free! Those poor animals were probably so hot. Ethiopian foods sounds very interesting.
