A hike in the rain and hail

7 Falls

Yesterday we went on a 4-hour round-trip hike to 7 Falls with Charles' cousins, Rhonda, Deanna and Cheryl.

We hiked in the rain about 75% of the time. At the start of the hike, it was raining so much that we waited under a metal awning at the trailhead for awhile, hoping the rain would stop.

Once we made it to the falls, the thunder and lightening started, so our stay at the top was quite short. About halfway down the mountain, hail began to fall on us, which wasn't the most comfortable feeling in the world.

It sure was great to be outdoors and on a hike, even in bad weather!

What true outdoor enthusiasts! Who else would attempt a hike in the rain and Hail? I am glad you decided to leave the top before one of you were fried!
