(Carrie) My good friend Janet came to Tucson this past weekend. We had a fun time chatting and catching up on life. It was great to have her visit! Here is what we did while she was here:

Friday we went shopping at Trader Joe's, then had a great lunch at Beyond Bread (a local sandwich shop). We then spent the rest of the afternoon at the Titan Missle Museum. The Titan Missile Museum is the only publicly accessible Titan II missile site in the nation. We toured the underground missile site, saw the 3-ton blast doors, the 8-foot thick silo walls, and an actual Titan II missile in the launch duct. Janet and I were both were picked to push the buttons in the launch control room and turn the keys for a simulated launch of a nuclear missle. It was a fun, educational tour! Charles was at work all day, so he missed the fun.




Saturday Janet and I went on a nice hike to 7 Falls. I definitely enjoyed the perfect hiking weather! We ate a small lunch under some trees at the Falls, watched people swim in the freezing cold water, then hiked back down. We saw a large rattlesnake on the trail. It was a great hike! Charles was working again, so he missed out on our fun adventure.

Saturday night Charles joined us and we all went to Trail Dust Town. We shot guns in the saloon, watched Outlaws Outta Luck stunt show, and took some silly pictures. It was a great way to end a fun weekend!
