Memorial Day Weekend - Walnut Canyon and Wupatki National Monuments

We visited Walnut Canyon and Wupatki National Monuments as part of our Memorial Day weekend. It was so cold and windy in northern Arizona that we had to stop at Kohl's and buy sweaters on clearance for an extra layer to keep warm!

Our first stop of the day was to Walnut Canyon. This was a beautiful place in the mountains. You walk along a trail with ruins on one side of you, a cliff on the other.

Charles is our family videographer!

The ruins in the cliffs.

I was so cold that I wrapped up in a blanket for most of the hike.

The second stop of the day was to Wupatki National Monument. This was in the middle of nowhere, but very fun to see and explore. We're glad we made the effort to see this ruin and the smaller ruins in the area!

Really pretty pictures! I think it is funny how cold you got Carrie. I could see myself doing the same thing. I can't wait to see you guys!
