Saturday was the busiest day of all. Our plane landed at 9:30 am. My parent's picked us up at the airport and took us to Layton. Charles watched a golf video while I went to Emily's baby shower from 11 - 12:30, which was a lot of fun.
Charles and I changed into dress clothes and then spent the rest of Saturday in Salt Lake City. We attended the 2 pm matinee of Kurt Bestor's Christmas concert. The music was very relaxing and enjoyable to listen to.

At 4:30 we met my friend Brita and her friend Cameron for dinner at the Nauvoo Cafe. After dinner we watched Mr. Krueger's Christmas and looked at the lights on Temple Square.

Charles and I then met Janet and Roger at 6:45 pm for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert. Natalie Cole was the guest singer for the evening. It was an enjoyable concert.

After the Tabernacle Choir concert, we met some of Charles' family at Leatherby's for ice cream sundaes. It was a great way to end our wonderful Saturday!
Sunday morning we woke up to a snowstorm! Charles loves shoveling snow, so he spent Sunday afternoon shoveling my parent's driveway. What a great guy!!!
Sunday evening we celebrated my dad's birthday with a wonderful meal, pie and presents. We then played a Christmas trivia game, which was hilarious. (Actual questions from the game: 1) Name the rich, hot liquid usually poured over a hot scoop of mashed potatoes. Answer: gravy. 2) What is traditionally hung on the fireplace mantel? a) purses, b) shoes, c) stockings, d) pillowcases)
Monday we had a few hours to spend in downtown Salt Lake City before we had to go to the airport. We first took a tour of the Beehive House and loved the history and beauty of that home.

We then took a tour of the Church Office Building. The lobby has a beautiful mural of Christ with his 11 remaining apostles and some neat sculptures. We took in the views from the observation deck and were thankful it was a clear day.

We then ate lunch at the Lion House and looked at the nativites around Temple Square before leaving for the airport. It was such a wonderful trip!
