(Carrie) A few years ago, on June 25th, I played Christmas music to some college friends. I had fun seeing if they could figure out it was exactly 6 months to Christmas! Since that time, I've always done something to mark June 25th. I remember one year I got together with my Campus Plaza friends and we exchanged presents, ate Christmas cookies, played games, and had a great party, complete with Christmas decorations. It was a fun night in the middle of summer. Usually though, I just play Christmas music and make holiday cookies. Today Charles experienced his first 6 months to Christmas with me. We listened to a Kurt Bestor Christmas CD and ate some great sugar cookies to celebrate. Happy 6 months to Christmas!!!

Those cookies look so yummy! I always start getting excited for Christmas in July/August, we'll have to start celebrating 6 months to Christmas.
Hey Carrie, That sounds like a great idea, except that it is Jeremy's birthday!! So we always celebrated that instead. Heather and her family celebrate "un"birthdays. They take the child out to dinner on their six month anniversary. It was wonderful to read your blog.
