End of Summer Campout

We went on a very fun and relaxing campout two weekends ago. We left work a little early on Friday and drove up Mt. Lemmon to the Spencer Canyon Campground. There were quite a few people in the campground, so our choices of campsites were very limited. We ended up camping right next to the site we stayed last month.

For dinner we had Mountain House chicken and rice with corn on the side. We also baked bread dough over the fire using our marshmallow cookers. It was a great dinner that we finished off with a lot of s'mores!

In the morning we ate breakfast, packed up camp, and drove to Summerhaven to buy some delicious fudge. We also heard of some great places to see the leaves changing colors, so spent alot of time driving through the mountains. We saw some gorgeous leaves, discovered new places to camp and drove to the top of Mt. Bigelow. It was a fun time for us in the mountains!
